IT was with great interest I read in The Bugle (April 3 edition) about Mr John Woodman's letter and Fred Boyce who made the world's smallest tube at Accles & Pollocks Ltd.

Yes! Fred Boyce did help in manipulating it. Since they did one smaller I believe I've got an old one. They put human hair through to show it had a bore.

I worked with Fred (now sadly passed away). He was a charge hand.

I did 40 plus years there from dogger to charge hand and finished on ill health grounds.

George Webb,

Farm Road, Langley.
