RE the article in The Bugle (June 12 edition) about family link to old lock makers. My brother and I worked for Harry and Ernie Dugmore.

They were builders. Harry lived in Raleigh Street, Walsall, and he was a carpenter and had a son and a daughter. It was my first job after leaving school in 1950. My first wage for five and a half days was £1.10.10 (£1.52).

Ernie lived in the Pleck and George in Harden Road, Walsall. He was manager of a steel company in Leamore, Walsall. Hope this is of interest to your readers.
