Tipton Class of '49 meet up

THE class of 1949 at Tipton Grammar School met up for their annual Christmas get-together and 16 enjoyed lunch at The Parlours Hall Hotel, Brignorth.

ABOVE: June Box (nee Bagnall), Maureen Iddles (nee Wellings and Freda Williams (nee Silman), who have been friends for 70 years, started school together as 5-year-olds at Manor Road Infants School, Tipton, before moving to Tipton Green Junior Girls' School and then Tipton County Grammar School.

Freda said there were 25 ex-pupils who kept in regular contact, having lunch together twice a year and also enjoy holidays in Britain and abroad despite many of them living miles away, one in Kinlochbervie, the top of Scotland, and another in St Ives as well as London and Buckingham.
