I THOUGHT Bugle readers might be interested in this picture of Bilston Town FC, which was taken on October 4, 1952. I believe they were the first team in England to have floodlights.

Bilston played Wolves at Bilston Town. They lost 1-0. Eddie Stuart scored Wolves goal.

Vic Mitchell is the only person still alive.

Names as follows: Back row: Vic Mitchell, Don Dearson (ex Birmingham City and Welsh Int), Arthur Wright (ex W.B.A.), Joe Rutherford - goalkeeper (ex Aston Villa), Jack Kirkam (ex Wolves), Billy Elliot (ex W.B.A.), trainer Joe Arblaster.

Front row: Alan Hall, Jimmy Hughes, Nick Cook, Horace Foster, Billy Guest (ex Blackburn Rovers).

Albert Cross,

Dilloways Lane,

Willenhall.
