Three stars of 1947 school team go back to class 66 years on

WHEN Tony Goddard, Gordon Parsons and Barry Brazier played in the 1947 all-conquering Beeches Road School team in Blackheath it led to a lifelong friendship.

They managed a clean sweep of every competition they entered.

Last week the three school chums were invited to return to the school (now called Highfields Primary) where their friendship first blossomed all those years ago and to talk about their memories of the 1940s.
