I AM the Activities Co-ordinator at Anville Court Nursing Home in Penn. Every Thursday afternoon we purchase a copy of the Black Country Bugle and our residents and I spend some time going through all the articles, stories and pictures.

We have Muriel (former secretary) who thoroughly enjoys hunting out the articles with a 'happy ending'.

We have Hilary (former teacher in Africa) who loves looking at the pictures from the past and we also have Marcia (former housewife and keen singer) who really enjoys hearing all the wonderful stories of the families and the war.

We have residents here with a variety of life occupations ranging from RAF pilots, factory workers, army soldiers and teachers so we are always looking out to see if we have any information that can help others get some answers.

Thank you so much for our Thursday afternoon sessions and we like to think of ourselves as official "Black Country Bugle buddies".

Glen Jones,

Activities Co-ordinator,

Plus Residents and staff,

Anville Court Nursing Home,
