The Beatles did come across the roof and down a ladder.
My mate John Neale and myself had just left the show.
We stopped to watch a man putting up a ladder. He called us to hold the ladder as the Beatles came down, and each one said: "Thanks mate" as they reached the footpath.
They got into the back of a car and drove off.
We had to run to catch the bus to Dudley, and then to Wolverhampton as we both lived at Parkfields at the time.
