IT was with great sadness that everyone at the Black Country Bugle learnt of the passing of Tommy Mundon at the age of 80, just before going to press for this Thursday's publication, and there will be a more comprehensive tribute to the King of Black Country mirth the following week.

Before his illness of recent years Tommy was a regular visitor to Bugle House and would never leave without one of his trademark funny stories. He did us the honour of topping the bill at the Bugle's 40th anniversary celebrations in April 2012, and ironically this was to be his last live performance on stage. He will be sorely missed by all who warmed to his humour and those who just loved Tommy as a down to earth Black Country bloke.
