End of a golden era with Black Country comedian's death

THE passing of Tommy Mundon almost brings to an end a golden era of Black Country comedy.

Quite a few comics have passed away in recent years and they will be sadly missed.

Unfortunately an era of decent comedy seems to have abated, both in clubland nationwide and on TV.

The once taboo "F" word is predominant in club comedy routines and on TV.

Sadly, no new comics seem to appear on the clubland scene or TV.

Myself and colleagues in the entertainment business seem to agree that we saw the best times in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
