RE your article regarding the shooting of President Kennedy in The Bugle (December 5 issue).
On the day that President Kennedy was shot I was collecting in Stourbridge on the Wollaston Farm Estate because I was a credit salesman as featured in your paper in the July 11 edition.
That evening I called on a family by the name of Wyre (I think) in the maisonettes by the shops, and I went up the steps and knocked the door.
Mr Wyre came to the door and said: "President Kennedy's been shot in Dallas. Come in."
I said: "Whose shot him, Jessie James?"thinking he was joking, but alas he wasn't. The rest is history.
