IN The Bugle (February 27 edition) concerning the story of film star Alan Jones appearing at The Dudley Hippodrome.

In 1948 I was a 19 year old and had the pleasure of meeting him in Stanton's Music Shop, which was in Castle Street.

I bought the record of "The Donkey Serenade" which I think was his favourite song.

He also signed the label on the record, shook my hand and thanked me.

Unfortunately, the record has since gone, but the memories linger on.

Mrs D. Taft,

23 Osberton Drive,

Milking Bank,

Dudley.
