WITH reference to my letter published in The Bugle (November 21 edition) about the Caldmore and Palfrey Sons of Rest Billiard Team I was very surprised but pleased to receive a letter from the granddaughter of the asking for a copy of the photo for her mother, the youngest daughter of F. Egan.

Her mother is now 91 and was really touched to see her father in The Bugle.

F Egan is pictured in the middle of the front row proudly holding the Observer Cup which the team won in 1951 and 1952.

The other team members are: Back row, left to right, S Baker, A Cooling, H Mason while on the front row are W Groom (left) and W Rolfe (right)

See, you never know what doors get opened when you write to The Bugle.

C.A. Holden,

Burntwood.
