I WAS so pleased to read the article in The Bugle (June 19 edition) regarding the Merry Hill Monorail and the old station that still remains.
It bought back many, many happy memories for me.
As a child, I adored the thing. So much so that for my 8th birthday I actually got to drive it with a driver, think he was called Jack.
It would be so nice to see some old pictures of it being built and the old sheds.
I've got some old videos so if I find anything I think would be good for your archives I'll send it over.
In regards to what they should do with it? I think either leave it as it is and have trips up there or turn it into a nice cafe.
It would be a real shame to see the last piece torn down.
They could even buy one of the old monorails from the now closed Sydney Monorail and put one in the station as a gimmick.
