The old saddlery shop.

WE normally more associate Walsall with saddlery, but it seems that Wolverhampton also had a say in this old trade.

This smashing, if well-worn image shows the amazing display of equine saddles, harnesses and collars, hanging up outside the premises of James Rudler, in Bilston Street, Wolverhampton, around a century ago. This image is printed on a promotional card, with more imformation about the business given on the reverse.

Our thanks go to Mrs D. Steadman of Shifnal for supplying this and other old Wolverhampton images, which we shall publish over coming weeks.
