I was at the Toc H birthday celebrations back in 1948

ON going through a box of photos belonging to my late mother, I found the enclosed and wondered if they would be of interest to Bugle readers.

BELOW: West Midlands Gas Board Employees 1958. My dad 'Ted' Preece is on the front row at the left in the black blazer. At that time he would have been aged 47. I have no idea of the occasion but perhaps someone will recognise their dad or grandad.

ABOVE: The second picture is noted (in my Mom's own handwriting) Dudley Toc H and friends at Lye Toc H birthday celebration. Again, I have no other details except that I am sitting on the floor in front with my brother Colin. Estimating that we would be about aged 4 and 9 years makes it about 1948. On the second row are my Grandma 'Lizzie' Preece and my Mom and Dad Eddie (Ted) and Irene Preece. My dad was a member of Toc H for many years and I seem to remember the man far right on the back row may be Mr Jennings who lived at Holly Hall.

Janet Nettleton (nee Preece),

Upper Gornal, Dudley.
