Ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has been interviewed for the head coach position at West Bromwich Albion and is now the bookies' favourite to take over at the Hawthorns.

The Albion board have a shortlist of six candidates, are in the process of conducting interviews and are expected to appoint a new head coach this week.

Other names linked with the job include former Holland manager Dick Advocaat and Albion no.2 Keith Downing, while others have already been ruled out, including former Celtic boss Neil Lennon and Real Madrid assistant manager Paul Clement.

The Baggies endured a disappointing 2013-14 season in the Premier League, finishing 17th. Head coach Pepe Mel left the club on May 12, having replaced Steve Clarke, who left the club in December.

Is Sherwood the right man for the job? Who would you like to see in charge at the Hawthorns? Please post your comments below.
