IN The Bugle (September 19 edition) you asked readers to comment on the new period drama Peaky Blinders.
I watched part of the first episode and it seemed to be really good, but it was spoilt by including bad language.
So I switched it off. Other period dramas see no need to include swear words and other filth.
Is this just a Brummie bravado thing?
I’m not a prude or anywhere near one, but in my opinion it makes the programme unwatchable.
Therefore, I for one, shall not be watching it in future.
I don’t know if there are others who feel the same way as I do.
But it’s a crying shame to ruin what could have been one of the best programmes yet.
