Residents home after gas leak fixed
A gas leak in Enfield has been fixed and evacuated residents have been allowed back into their homes, Scotland Yard has said.
Enfield Town train station has also reopened but a small cordon remains in place in St Andrews Road, where the leak started.
Around 120 people were evacuated from their homes shortly after midnight and cared for by the local authority.
Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were at the scene along with National Grid engineers.
The leak was caused by road maintenance work in the area.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
Greater Anglia services between Enfield Town and London Liverpool Street have resumed, National Rail said.
