Quarry Bank Celtic in the Sixties

OVER several editions last year we published photographs of Quarry Bank Celtic Football Club during ther 1950s heyday when they won a collection of important trophies, including the Dudley Guest Hospital Cup.

Can you name any of the players?

Most of the pictures were supplied by Dave Pearson of Kingswinford, who as a lad was the club mascot. He was also the son of the one of the club stalwarts who was on the commitee for many years — Solomon Pearson (1919 - 1984).

Dave has also supplied the above photograph of a later Celtic team, and we wonder if anyone can name the players? We believe that this was taken in the 1960s, and Solomon Pearson is the elderly gent on the right, in the cap and overcoat.

The only other person that Dave can name is the other club official shown, on the far left — Colin Connop.
