THERE will have been quite a few big birthday celebrations this year for the young Wednesbury footballers shown on the right.
Many of these ‘boys’ of 1962 will have had their sixtieth birthdays in 2011, and in fact one of them, Colin Grice, celebrates his in just a few weeks time, on December 9th.
We have Colin’s sister, Mrs Sue Jackson of Park Lane, Wednesbury, to thank for sending in this photo from his schooldays at Old Park School, taken during season 1962-63.
Colin is the third player from the left on the back row.
