Can you name these Rowley Regis 'bruisers'?

OUR thanks go to L. Marshall of Cromwell Close, Rowley Regis, for sending in this fine photograph of some schoolboy boxers in 1953.

They are are well kitted-out in matching vests, shorts, and gloves.

The plaque informs us that they had won the Thomas Shield in that year, the trophy appearing on the right.

Seated at the centre is the unmistakable figure of headmaster Mr Willetts, but the only other names we have, provided by Mr Marshall, are those of Jim Harcourt, who is second from the right on the back row, and Ben Harris, who is second from the left on the front row.

Can readers provide any more names of these young bruisers of 57 years ago?
