WE are not quite sure why only five players appear on the photograph on the right; can anyone tells us? The photograph has been kindly sent in to us by Carol Sneddon of Goldthorn Park, Wolverhampton, on behalf of her aunt Florence Turner, who is 89 years of age.
The five played for Bilston Town F.C., and Florence believes that the photograph was taken around 1938.
Her late husband William (Bill) Turner is on the left, and fourth from the left is Alfred Maddocks. She is not sure of the names of the other players.
We wonder if other readers can identify them?
