Visitors can step back to a time before computer games and iPods during a Vintage Toy and Train Expo at the Severn Valley Railway this weekend.
Railway enthusiasts can enjoy layouts featuring the almost forgotten Tri-ang Minic Road and Rail System, Hornby Dublo Two Rail, Tri-ang Big Big Train and Tri-ang Hornby from the 1960s.
Also on display will be the Tri-ang Railways Table Top System.
The 8F Society will also be displaying an O Gauge Engine Shed Layout, featuring many hand built locomotives, many of which can be seen in real life on the Severn Valley Railway.
The Expo will also feature a collection of toys including a 1950s doll’s house, 1950s and 1960s board games and puzzles, 1970s Sindy and Tri-ang Minic Ships. A number of trade stands offering vintage model railways and toys will be in attendance for those wishing to start their own collection.
The Vintage Toy and Train Expo is at The Engine House Visitor Centre, at Highley this Saturday and Sunday, (August 17 and 18).
