HERE we have a couple more '50s photos, this time courtesy of Brian Ansdell of Gornal Wood.

The earliest dates from 1953, coronation year, when a party from Holly Hall School, in Dudley, were pictured on the summit of Mount Snowdon.

In the back row, from left, are: Jim Passmore; Ian Moody; John Smith; Arthur Baker (teacher); Brian Ansdell; and Mr Price, from the campsite the lads were staying on.

Ranged across the front are: Robin Abyss; Jeffrey Higgins; Roy Ball; Michael Jukes, and one unidentified boy on the end.

The second picture dates from 1957 or thereabouts, and shows a group of employees from the sadly departed Woolworth's. The girls all worked at the Dudley High Street branch, but Brian can only provide us with one name: his late wife Ann Ansdell, at far right.

Please get in touch if you can fill in any of the missing names.
