Reader wrong on too many Black Country WWI stories

ROBIN C Onions is entitled to his opinion that there are too many World War I stories in The Bugle (Letters, July 24 edition).

But I disagree with him that the vast majority of readers are uninterested. My wife lost a Grandfather and I lost a Great Uncle during the conflict.

If men and women had not served during that time, and during WW2, where would Mr Oliver be now?

I think that these things must be passed on with the hope that some day all conflicts will be resolved without fighting.

Without The Bugle a lot of younger people would be unaware of what went on during that war.

Keep up the good work. Regards

Baz
