JOHN Thompson of Kingswinford telephoned our offices after seeing a picture of the Wolverhampton and District Table Tennis Association in last week's Bugle.

The picture was taken at one of the association's dinner functions at a hotel in Wolverhampton in the 1960s, and had originally been given to us by Bernard Francis of Walsall, a former player and secretary of the WDTTA.

We had names only for a few of those shown and appealed to readers for more. John was able to give a name for one of the unknown guests, his old friend and cricketing colleague Maurice Cox. The young lady with him was Maurice's partner/wife but, sadly, John does not recall her name.
