ON behalf of the Royal British Legion, Cradley Branch, I would like to thank all of the residents and visitors for their support with the very generous donations for our poppy appeal.

The total raised was £10,969.47. This was mainly due to the support from the management and shoppers at the Tesco Extra in Cradley Heath, and the local schools and businesses. We were supported in many ways by local people, including the Members of Parliament for Halesowen and Rowley Regis and Stourbridge.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the parade on Sunday, November 10. There was a large turnout of local councillors, Members of Parliament, representatives of local organisations and a large number of local people. As always the church was packed for the service, a fitting tribute to the servicemen and women, who have served the country through many conflicts. Thank you again for your support.

Harry Sturman,

Branch Secretary and Parade Organiser,

Cradley Royal British Legion.
