IF readers look back over The Bugle's archives they will find that one of the most popular subjects, which has had dozens of pieces published about it, is the famous old Dudley and Staffordshire Technical College.
Built in 1936 it was the best equipped Technical College in the whole of the UK and was revered by its ex students - of which I was one - and many of them went on to hold senior positions in manufacturing and education. The demise of manufacturing in the UK instigated changes including name changes, but the main building still exists in the Broadway as Dudley College.
I am in the final stages of completing a book, covering the seven years I studied there, full time and part time, and this is being done with the full co-operation of the existing Dudley College staff who have provided many old photographs and access to the old College Alumni archive.
I have photographs covering my time there but, over the years, many ex-students have supplied photographs to The Bugle covering different time periods and it has been suggested that a section could be added as a "Picture Gallery."
Can Bugle readers help? Best regards.
