Kicking off Severn Valley Railway’s Steam and Whistle Activity Club was a Teddy and Pyjama Week which saw hundreds of children dress up in their pyjamas and enjoy a brilliant day out with their favourite bear.

Then last week there were arts and crafts with the chance to make a railway clock, a craft competition and the opportunity to meet some very special SVR friends – the bees.

The Steam and Whistle Activity Club runs in The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley throughout August and will also feature Pirate Time and Dig and Discover weeks.

The railway itself will be fully open as usual throughout the school holidays.

For more information, visit www.svr.co.uk or call 01299 403816.

More details about the Steam & Whistle Activity Club can be found on the ‘What to See & Do’ tab on the website, under ‘Special Events’.
