Oldbury article recalled my working days

I WAS interested in reading the article in The Bugle (January 23 edition) about Oldbury.

I used to work at Cuxson Gerrard in 1954 until 1961 in the Bandage Dept at Fountain Lane. My forewoman was Eva Bushell and the woman I worked with was named Clarie Mallen.

I also had three sisters-in-law who worked there, one in the sterilising department and two worked with me. My name was Margaret Mole then.

Could someone tell me where I can get a souvenir handbook called 'Made in Oldbury' from? My husband Maurice lived and worked at Oldbury at the Automatic Plating Co, Simpson Street and Hemmings in Orchard Street, also Peters Buildings and Plumbing in McKean Road. His dad Thomas Griffiths was in the police at Oldbury for 32 years.

I've got a lot of memories with my husband's family.

Mrs M. Griffiths,

(nee Mole),

18 Mill Road,

Brownhills, Walsall.
