AS a valued customer of the Black Country Bugle I am pleased to invite readers to the Exhibition of Historic Maps of Birmingham and the Black Country from April 2 to May 20 at our Aldridge studios from 9am-4pm Monday to Saturday.
This event is one of a number to be held across Staffordshire in conjunction with the publication of Wildfire through Staffordshire. Snippets from this title have been recently featured in The Bugle, such as the "Darlaston Gun Lock Makers". The book takes readers on a fascinating journey across Staffordshire in 1838 along the recently opened Grand Junction Railway, out of Birmingham and across Staffordshire, exploring the many townships and people at the dawn of the Victorian age.
Simply bring along a copy of the Black Country Bugle when visiting the exhibition and we will give you a 40% discount if you decide to purchase any of our publications, along with a complementary coffee or cup of tea.
This event also offers readers the opportunity to support their local schools, now that the curriculum covers Industrial Heritage/Local history.
Any of the copies of The Bugle that are exchanged for this special offer will be collected and donated to schools, as teachers have recognised the valued content as a resource to supplement studies in this area. Kind regards.
