The picture on the left shows a fine looking building, which the sender thinks was a pub, but was it a little too grand for that? If anyone recognises it please let us know.
Gordon Adams of Roy, Washington, USA (email cascadia.farm@q.com) writes...“I have a photo (attached) of the "Bird In Hand" public house and inn kept by my ancestor Thomas Price.
According to the 1861 census, the building was located on Dudley Road in Tipton. I believe the photo was taken around 1860. Can you identify the building and a more specific location? Sincerely, Gordon Adams”
