THIS is the last in the small batch of interesting photographs sent to us by John Ryder, nowadays living in Dawlish, Devon.
The previous photograph, printed last week, showed John’s class at Hill Street School, Stourbridge in 1938, and the final one, right, shows the Senior Girls at Stourbridge Girls High School, in 1934.
Last week John could name around thirty of his classmates, but this week we only have five names — so we hope other readers can fill in some of the gaps.
Those named by John (maiden names ) are: Molly Wilsdon and his sister Dorothy Ryder (second and third from left on on the front row, and Nellie Mason (third from right on the back row). All now deceased.
He also thinks that Eileen Dunn and ? Douglas- Osborne are on the photo, but he cannot pinpoint which they are.
