IN a recent Bugle (1027), Mr Bond from Aldridge, supplied the names of pupils at Palfrey Junior Scool, 1950/51.
One of the names on this list is my cousin, John Birch, who at the time the photograph was taken, lived in Whitehall Road, Palfrey. He now lives in Lancashire.
Another name on the list is Barry Blower, a well known Walsall man, and I think, one time manager of Caldmore Housing. I think he was also in some way involved with Walsall Football Club. Barry was best man at my brother in law’s wedding. My brother in law was Brian Reaney, who unfortunately passed away seventeen years ago. His name is not on this list but he attended the same school.
I have attached a photograph of Brian taken at this same school. He is the tallest lad in the class, sitting at the end of the second row. Perhaps Mr Bond or other readers remember him too and maybe some of the others in the class?
