Ocker Hill class photo of sixty years vintage

BUGLE subscriber Mrs Jean Langford (nee Bennett) of Corrie, Kitwalls Lane, Milford on Sea, Lymington, Hants, was interested to read about her old Tipton school in a recent edition, and submits a class photo of her own from around sixty years ago.

She also sends in the following comments: “I was interested to read the article about St Mark’s School by J. S. Harvey (nee Freeman) in The Bugle No. 938. I lived in Toll End Road and also attended St Mark’s Church School, Spring Street, Ocker Hill, Tipton. The enclosed photograph is of the senior class, 4A, in the year 1950/51. Although I remember quite a number of names, I hope that your readers will be able to fill in the gaps. I am sure that The Headmaster was Mr Lockett, not Mr. Lockwood.

All left to right...
