Man charged over boxer home death
A man has been charged with murder over a death at the home of former world champion boxer Herbie Hide.
Joshua Burton, 20, of Fallowfield Close, Norwich, has been remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Thursday, Norfolk Police said.
Tafadzwa Khan, known as Taffy, 25, from St Giles Street, Norwich, died following an incident shortly after midnight at a private party being held at Mr Hide's home in Long Lane, Bawburgh, Norwich on March 18.
Police have said they do not believe Mr Hide, a 40-year-old former heavyweight boxer, was at the house at the time of the death.
More than 100 people are thought to have attended the party.
Mr Hide won the WBO (World Boxing Organisation) heavyweight title for the first time in 1994.
He regained the title in 1997 and made two successful defences before losing to Vitali Klitschko in 1999.
