A momentous day in 1905.
A momentous day in 1905.

It is is an image taken from an old postcard, which has been sent to us by Mr. D.N.

Burden of Bromsgrove. It is described as showing the first motor bus from Stourbridge to Belbroughton, on 13th February 1905. Judging by the number of people crowded around it, there was much excitement accompanying this inaugural trip. Not to be outdone though, there were several horsedrawn conveyances also on show, outside the Hollybush Inn at Bell End, near Clent.
