We turn the clock back about 50 years or so with these photographs sent in by Mr R. Moore of Coseley. He was prompted to pop his pictures in the post after seeing other photographs sent in by one of his old friends.
Mr Moore writes, “I have been following with interest the last 2-3 issues of the Bugle, featuring the working life with John Thompson Boilers of Norman Groucutt, as sent in by his son Tony Groucutt.
“I knew Tony when we were motorcycle bikers in the 1960s and fans of motorcycle racing.
“Tony acquired a racing Manx Norton and ventured, briefly, into motorcycle racing. I attended a race meeting at Prees Heath, Shropshire, where I took the enclosed photo of Tony and another photo that shows a young lad leaning against a white Bedford van, who I believe is Tony’s brother Kelly.”
