New strip doesn't reflect West Bromwich Albion's history

I REFER to the article in The Bugle (May 15 edition) re Save our Stripes, say Baggies fans.

As a season ticket holder and supporter for 65 years I was dismayed to receive the news of the new strip for season 2014/15. Albion's tradition is to play in broad blue and white strips, the new strip does not reflect the history of the club and is an insult to the supporters.

The directors and players should remember who pays the wages and the supporters' mass exodus at the final whistle at the last home match demonstrates their dissatisfaction.

I understand the new strip is for one season only and I will be very surprised if anyone purchases the strip. From a commercial point of view I feel it will be a spectacular failure.

Please reconnect with the supporters before it is too late.

Bugle reader,

Another Albion fan wrote in saying: I'd love to see the classic 1968 strip in honour of Clive Clark.
