I WAS pleased to see the letter from Margaret Head about the old Nasty House in Brockmoor and Neddy Andrews in the The Bugle (November 28 edition).
Neddy Andrews worked at Baldwins' Swindon works and he usually wore 4 or 5 hats on top of each other with a scarf tied around them to keep them on.
He wore several jackets at the same time. Neddy also played the piano in the Swindon pubs.
Neddy came to work on a donkey which he kept in one of Mr Reynolds's fields,
One morning Neddy was coming to work on th e early shift when he was stopped by a policeman whosaid: "Neddy, your donkey hasn't got any shoes on" to which Neddy replied: "What do you expect, he has only just got up?
