ASTRID Hupperdine, on behalf of the Friends of Bilston Town Hall, has sent us details of the next film showing, to take place at the Town Hall on Monday, 20th January starting at 1.30pm.

"For our first film of 2014 we have chosen Mrs Brown, directed by John Madden and starring Judi Dench, Billy Connolly and Geoffrey Palmer.

"The film tells the story of a bereaved Queen Victoria (Judi Dench) and her relationship with a Scottish servant called John Brown (Billy Connolly), and the subsequent uproar it provoked.

"Admission is from 1pm when tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available, and the admission fee is £3.50.

"We had a very encouraging attendance of nearly 100 at the last film showing and thank all of those who have attended in the past for their support.

"For the Friends of Bilston Town Hall to be successful we need this support to continue, and hope a Scottish themed, British-made picture, so close to Burns Night, will be deemed appropriate.

"Please come along, everyone is welcome, and as an added feature we hope to have a Scottish piper in attendance to greet people as they arrive."
