SEDGLEY White Lions Under 11s narrowly beat local rivals Tipton Youth 1 – 0 in the semi final of the Bilston League Interdivisional Adrian Anslow Cup.
The victory came courtesy of a Harry Smith volley into the roof of the net from 10 yards out midway through the second half to secure their second Cup Final appearance this season, having previously made the final of Charity Cup.
In a game of few chances with both defences on top Sedgley edged the tie in a nailbiting semi final where the result was in doubt until the final whistle.
Sedgley have already secured the Autumn League East Division League title and are currently well placed to mount a title challenge in the Spring Premier League. The Lions have now contested 21 games in all competitions this season and have yet to taste defeat having won 19, drawn 2 and scored a remarkable 135 goals in the process whilst conceding only 17 goals.
