LIFE-SAVING isn't one of our most featured sports – in fact it's more of a service than a game, but it's always nice to feature something a bit different from the norm.

This sizeable assembly were the Life Saving Club of Rowley Regis Secondary Boys School, pictured in 1959. The picture was put our way by Anthony Page of Halesowen, and all the names are written on it as follows:

Back row: T Hawthorne, J Hooper, R McFarland, V Whitehouse, J Horton, A Goode, A Comley, L Holder, K Davies, L Calloway.

Third row: A Adams, J Turbill, R Belcher, D Mitchell, D Siviter, R Hilton, T Polter, R Draper, A Male, W Dodd, A Weston, M Griffiths, J Keightley.

Second row: Mr B.J. Christopher, R Utting, J Goff, P Watkins, Mr G.A. Willetts, Mr J.I.H. Walton, M Jones, G Blakeway, Mr G Harris F Saunders.

Front row: J Andrews, K Pearson, S Stride, D Aldridge, R Davis, R Matthews, A Farley, and M Millsom.
