Was Kynock's in Rowley Regis an ammunitions factory in 1914?

THE Bugle has been kind enough to print one or two articles regarding my Dad's family during the First World War and I have had people ring me to have a chat. Thank you!

I'm wondering now if any Bugle readers would be able to throw any light on something my Mother told me about in the Great War.

I wasn't born until 1925 but she did say that she worked, while my Dad was in France, at an ammunitions factory which was somewhere near the now long gone, BTH factory by Rowley Regis station. Was it called Kynock's?

I am sure I am not imagining it, but since all the news of the 100th anniversary of World War One it is puzzling me.

If the Bugle readers can't help me, nobody can.

I look forward to Thursday and my Bugle. I can't wait.

Mary Hackett,

11 St Giles Close, Rowley Regis.
