My grandfather, Joseph Webb, was born in Dudley on April 3 1872 and came to Canada around 1904.  Settling in Ottawa, Ontario, he had 7 sons with his spouse, Mary Hazledine, and died in a car accident iin 1944.

We have been researching our ancestry in the Black country area for a few years now and had the opportunity to meet with 2nd cousins, Gordon Smith, Val Povey & Jean Causton in Netherton & Anglia.  In 2013 my son, James, & I met again with Gordon Smith & his partner, this time in Germany and in October 2014 we're meeting in Spain.

I have to say that genealogy has been so rewarding for our families and to reconnect after all these years is heartwarming.  Still looking for Edward Webb & Florence Eade's descendants though - Edward is Joseph Webb's brother.
