BUGLE readers may be interested to know that Saturday (April 26) is Willenhall Heritage Day and the Willenhall Musical Society is hosting a display at the Chart Centre, Gomer Street, Willenhall. Recently the choir took part in Portobello Showcase at Portobello Methodist Church in Willenhall and among those who visited our stand, with all its memorabilia dating back to the choir's inception in the early 1940s, was Mrs Dorothy Shepherd, one of the founder members.

Mrs Shepherd still attends our concerts, and will be at the next one at Portobello Methodist Church on Saturday, May 3.

We're always happy to see new members (7.30pm each Monday at the church), and are seeking an accompanist to replace Bridget Tait, who will be retiring to Devon later this year. If you would like to sing, or can accompany singers, you will be made very welcome!

Margaret O'Callaghan,

President, Willenhall Musical Society.
