I AM trying to trace my father who was a Norwegian soldier in the Second World war.

His name was Richard or Ricard, and he was stationed near Wolverhampton in 1943.

I wrote to the Express & Star and one of their readers advised me to contact The Bugle to see whether your readers would be able to help me.

I have made several attempts before but have made no progress because this is all the information I have and without a surname it is proving to be impossible.

I would appreciate any help or advice your readers could offer as I think this is probably the only chance I have left now.

Christine Simms.
