Point to Pint

Written byThe Lewis Partnership

The North Staffordshire Point to Point at Sandon is just a few short weeks away and this year promises to be even better than ever, with a beer festival and hog roast hosted by The Lewis Partnership at The Dog and Doublet Inn.

One of the highlights of the area’s social and sporting calendar, the North Staffs Point to Point is attended by thousands annually. Held on Saturday, March 30 at the beautiful Sandon Hall Estate near Stafford, the point to point race is packed with excitement as both horses and riders tackle this challenging three mile course.

The fun starts at 1.00pm with the North Staffordshire Hunt members, subscribers and farmers, and the Meynell & South Staffordshire Hunt members, race for the Lady Dobson Cup, amongst others.

The last race of the day is held at 5pm, finishing just in time to allow visitors to head over to The Dog and Doublet to enjoy a fantastic selection of real ales, beers and lagers at the beer festival and delicious, freshly made food at the hog roast. What a fantastic way to kick off the spring season.
