Familiar faces on Darlaston Sunday School trip photos

I WAS very interested to read the article on Fallings Heath (Darlaston) Chapel and Sunday School with the photographs of the day trips in The Bugle (April 24 edition).

Although I did not attend Fallings Heath Chapel I did for some time go to the Ebenezer Sunday School which was quite near Fallings Heath, and then moved on to Pinfold Street Chapel - all now sadly demolished.

Quite a few of the people in the photograph attended King's Hill Junior School - which is how I remember them.

In particular, I recall Connie Wheatley, John Myatt, Norman Leech, Sidney Smith and Stanley Barnes.

It was so interesting to be reminded of those days and read familiar names.

I am still in touch with friends from those far off days - in particular Marian Bowen and Betty Adams. Through The Bugle I am now also in touch with a Pinfold Street friend - Olive Powell. It would be lovely to hear from anyone from those days.

Many thanks for a most interesting paper.
