I THOUGHT Bugle readers would be interested in this picture taken in 1930 during the National Lifeboat Appeal which toured Britain.

It was collected from Birmingham by Reginald Tildesley Ltd with this Fordson F Industrial tractor driven by Fred Chennels.

The tractor was fitted with a Hyster front mounted winch and had Hendon wheels with solid rubber tyres.

The lifeboat was towed around Willenhall for people to donate money.

Standing behind the rear wheel of the tractor are Fred Chennels (left), who was RT's tractor demonstrator; and Mr Ward (right).

The registration plate 084 E was RT's trade plate for vehicles.
